6 months, Easter, and Lego Land!

My baby is 6 months old!

She has turned into a really sweet, happy baby.  She just likes to be hauled around so she can see what's going on.  She has just started to inchworm crawl and is already getting into trouble wherever she can!

Whenever she's unhappy with Management (me) she starts sputtering and spitting and blowing raspberries as loud as she can.  It sounds like she is saying "Booooo!" "Boooo on mommy"!

She is pretty darn cute, though.

Her first swing ride.  Don't worry grandparents. She is totally safe. She loved it.

We took the boys miniature golfing and wore them right out.

Jason just loves Cara.  He is a really sweet big brother.

The boys at their favorite (and my least favorite) place, the Jungle. I don't know how that place manages to con people into paying $25 to go play broken machines and win a 10 cent toy, but they seem to do pretty well.  It is like Lord of the Flies over there half the time with a million germ infested kids screaming and trying to kill each other. The food is completely inedible and the sounds of the broken arcade games will drive you to the brink of insanity, but the boys beg to go there at least once a week.  I hope they appreciate what I do for them some day.

Climbing the walls in the completely sanitary Ball Pit of Despair.

They made spring hats for Jason's parade at preschool.  It's hard to make a masculine spring hat.  They kind of looked like little old ladies going to church.

We had a mini egg hunt at the park with some friends.  They were pretty excited about the bunny treats.

Jason is preparing for the hunt by wearing his bucket on his head.

Brett's ready to go.  Look at that game face.

And they're off!  Brett lost valuable searching time when he ran out of his shoe!

They both got a good haul.

We dyed Easter eggs- although Jason complained about the vinegar and getting his hands dirty.  All I know is he didn't get that from me!

Jason battles me about taking a nap every day.  After 30 minutes of insisting he was NOT TIRED, he fell asleep on the stairs.

Another Easter egg hunt in the backyard.  We heard the neighbors doing one with their teenage kids over at their house, and it sounded like their eggs were full of money.  We thought about scaling the fence after they were done to see if they missed any eggs, but decided it might be embarrassing if we were caught.

These eggs were pretty cool, though- they had lego pieces inside.  When they collected all the eggs they made a hero factory guy!

Candy and Legos- pretty much the best day ever.

Daddy and Cara in her Easter dress- thanks, Grandma Liau, it was adorable!

All dressed up for church.

Derek had a week of vacation and we decided to brave the car ride to LEGO LAND!  Jason has been counting down the days on his calendar for two months.  He was so, so excited.  The kids did really great on the 6 1/2 hour drive over there.  We stayed at an awesome hotel that had a pool, a really nice breakfast every morning, and warm cookies and milk at night!  We liked it so much we stole their pillows!  Well, we accidentally stole one, so we called them up and paid for it, and now we have a nice pillow to remember them by.  We checked in around one, and headed straight over to Lego Land.

We saw Wild Style from the Lego Movie.

And Emmet.  Brett was totally thrilled.

They drove little Legomobiles.

That was Brett's favorite ride.  He went on it 9 times!

Lego Albert Einstein.

Hero Factory Guy.

Derek had as much fun as the boys did.

He shot innocent passerby's with water and is proud of himself.

After all that anticipation, Jason's favorite thing was the map.  He loved to navigate from ride to ride, but he didn't want to wait in lines or ride too many of them!  Silly kid.  He did find a few that he enjoyed and I think he had a good time.

They had an entire Lego Las Vegas, and since Derek is Mr. Vegas, we had to get a pic.

Lego aquarium.

The whole family with the psychadellic jellyfish.

Brett showing off his shark teeth in front of some sharks.

We hit the beach the next day.

Daddy and Cara bear.

On the last day, we visited Sea World.  The last time I was there was on our honeymoon 9 years ago! It was a lot easier to navigate Sea World without three kids.  Being there brought back some fun memories.

The Killer Whales

Feeding the Manta Rays was one of the coolest attractions.  They suck the fish right out of your hands like a vacuum.

We stopped for Dippen' Dots at the end.  Cara wasn't too sure what to think about them!  We had so much fun- the drive back was kind of painful, but I hope we can go back before too long! There is just no such thing as too many Legos!
