Disneyland 2016

We planned on going to Disneyland in October, but Derek ended up having to work, so we moved the trip to February. It was a great time to go- the weather was perfect and the lines were short. We were able to do everything!

Brett is 39 1/2 inches tall, and the hight requirement is 40 inches, so we bought him some extra tall Disneyland boots so he could get on the rides. He just barely made it!

The boys loved the new Superhero exhibit. It was fun to see all of the different Ironman suits. They could identify every one of them.

The Star Wars exhibit was also a big hit.

Brett would be a good Stormtrooper.

Three cuties.

We arrived on Monday around 1pm, dropped our stuff off at the hotel, and headed straight over to the park. We rode several rides, then went to dinner at Ariel's Grotto. We had delicious steak and lobster! We were supposed to stay and watch World of Color at 10, but we were all so exhausted we went back to the hotel and crashed instead. The boys were so excited to have bunk beds to sleep in!

We got breakfast one morning at Mickey's Cafe. The kids were excited to see all of the characters.

The boys were allowed to choose one toy on our trip. They were more excited about shopping for legos than going on the rides.

We signed the boys up to do Jedi training, and it was probably the highlight of the trip. They were so excited to be Padawans and learn to use the force!

Brett had to fight one of the Seven Sisters.

Jason was up against Darth Vader.

Brett got a lot of attention because he was the smallest one up there. Mace Windu joked that he would have to look for some Ewoks to fight. Brett was so cute and serious and was very good at following instructions. He got a lot of applause from the crowd.

Look at this adorable Jedi!

They had a great time.

Derek and the J-dog.

Mr. Toad and Derek must be looking at the same thing.

So, Jason has gotten on a kick of reading. He is devouring all of the Magic Treehouse books. He spent most of Disneyland with his nose in a book. Sometimes we had to make him stop to go on rides or eat dinner! I am glad he is enjoying reading on his own, though.

He did take a break to watch the parades, though!

I went on this rocket ride with Cara about 10 times. It was one of the few rides she was big enough to go on.

Me and my sweetie.

Cara got to meet Cinderella. Derek had no idea who she was.

Tow Mater's ride.

Brett loved meeting the characters.

Jason's favorite ride of all was Splash Mountain. Look at that face! He thought it was totally hilarious when I got soaked. We are about the same level of brave when it comes to roller coasters so it was lots of fun going on them with him. We all had a blast and can't wait for the next Disneyland opportunity!
