We had a very merry Christmas this year! It was the first time we stayed home for Christmas, and we missed our families a lot, but the boys were so excited about Christmas and we did so many fun activities that it ended up being a really fun month.
I may not be able to take a picture of every outfit she owns, but I can try!
Getting ready to go to church. She does not enjoy being my dress up doll as much as I want her to.
While we were at church, our neighbors put Santa on our front yard! Then they waited for us to come home so they could watch the boys' faces. It was kind of random, but the kids loved it.
Daddy and Cara taking a Sunday afternoon nap :).
The lovely Harmer's invited us over after church. We had a delicious dinner, during which I was constantly terrified that one of the boys would destroy Cindy's nice china, and then a special guest arrived....
You may remember Craig Harmer from this picture two years ago.
The boys have come a long ways in two years! Coincidently, Craig had to leave early to go to a meeting, and right after he left, Santa came knocking at the door! They boys were so excited.
Santa obliterated my no weapons as toys policy in one fell swoop by giving them both Nerf guns. They were beside themselves with joy.
Look at those faces. Too. Much. Excitement.
A major battle ensued.
It was a wonderful evening.
The Sunday before Christmas- my three handsome guys.
And an angel :). Look! This is one of her very first smiles!
I finally found some time to make her a pair of Christmas shoes.
On Christmas Eve, we invited some friends over for dinner and a semi-blasphemous nativity re-enactment. Derek was the donkey and baby Jesus received Frankencense, Myrrh and Tomato Paste as his gifts. My friend Liz was Mary, and she had a darling baby Jesus who was only one week old!
Julie was an adorable angel.
The boys got to open some new jammies, and they went to bed, dreaming of sugarplums.. and Legos, no doubt.
Santa came!
Opening stockings.
Santa pulled through and we had a very Lego Christmas. We spent the rest of the day building the sets together.
Happy boys :).
So, Cara not sleep by herself yet. She just naps right in the Baby Bjorn. Sometimes I forget she's attached to me.
Cooking and napping.
