Disneyland!

Derek had a week of vacation in October and we thought it would be fun to take a trip to Disneyland!  We planned on going to their Disney Halloween Party, but when we got there we learned it had sold out months ago.  That was a little disappointing, but we still had a great time- in fact we might go back next year for more.  It was nice because the weather was perfect and the lines were not too long.  The boys had a great time seeing the shows and riding the rides.  Cara did not have such a good time, but she survived :).

The first characters we saw were Stormtroopers and the boys were totally thrilled.

Cara on day one.  There were no more smiles on day three.

They also loved Cars land!  It was a lot of fun to see all of their favorite characters.

We had luck at Goofy's Kitchen, which was a lot of fun.  The characters came around to say hi to the kids and they loved getting to choose whatever they wanted from the buffet.  Of course, they both got  mac n' cheese and chicken nuggets which is not exactly a huge departure from what they eat at home all the time.

We had to make a stop at the Lego store.

The parades were pretty impressive, and Brett just loved them. He waved as hard as he could to each character that came by.  He was thrilled.

Worth going to Disneyland to see that happy face!

We had a great time- it is so much fun to be close enough to drive over to Disneyland for a quick trip!

We made it back home just in time for Halloween.

At the church party.

Trunk or Treating

The boys were the creative directors of pumpkin carving while I was the manual labor.

Jason's kindergarden class all dressed up.

The boys had a bunch of glow sticks, so we made Jason into a stick figure.

Brett couldn't decide between a bomber pilot or Captain America. Luckily, he was able to be both!
