We have been having a great time this summer. I can't believe there are only a few weeks left before school starts up again. I am not looking forward to it- I have enjoyed hanging out with these cuties, sleeping in, and not stressing out about who needs to be where when and with what stuff!
Three cute faces....
Three silly faces!
Some teenage girls in our ward decided to put on a production of Cinderella. They practiced for two weeks before the performance. Jason and Brett made a couple of adorable mice.
The mice performed a little hip hop dance. It was pretty darn cute!
We took a short trip to Lego Land and Sea World. We stayed in our favorite hotel and the kids did great in the car. We had a great time!
Brett always loves to meet the characters. Here we are with Unikitty from The Lego Movie.
Cara loves Jay, the blue ninja. She either wants to be Jay or a mermaid for halloween.
The rides were just the right speed for my very cautious kids.
We spent the entire day at Lego Land and saw the whole park. We had a great time, but we were all pretty exhausted that evening!
We woke up and headed over to Sea World the next morning.
Cara was our expert navigator.
We bought matching hats at Target.
Of all the animals, we were most excited to spot this wild duck with her little ducklings!
The dolphins were also pretty amazing. They really seem to enjoy performing for the crowd. We also enjoyed seeing orcas, pilot whales, polar bears, belugas and penguins. We had a great time!
Cute Cara wearing two hats!
Derek took a quick weekend trip to Vegas to see a UFC fight with his buddy, Nate.
These boys are pretty excited waiting at the airport because...
Aunt Glori and Mimi came to visit! It was Glori's birthday, too! We were soooo excited to have them come and visit!
The Gloris on the carousel at the park.
Mimi and the kids riding the train.
We also went and checked out the Redwood trees. We saw some deer and had a nice time walking the forest trail.
Jason is one bad dude.
Cara found a pink railroad hat that was too cute to leave behind!
We also visited the Egyptian museum. Jason mimicking a mummified monkey.
It was so much fun having Mimi and Glori over. We watched The Great British Baking Show, talked about decorating and did some shopping. It was so fun. Glori and I also went to an Escape the Room game. We were paired up with a group of nine guys from Apple. They ran around a lot, but Glori was the one who found and figured out all of the major clues. She was awesome!
Jason had to get a blood test. The nurse was blown away because he smiled the entire time and just laughed and said it was cool when he watched his blood drain into the vials. Who is this crazy kid? He definitely deserved some ice cream for being such a patient patient.

These are great pictures. I realize you cannot have a girls retreat and invite grandpa, but it would have been fun to share the obviously nice times with all of you. When are Derek and Stephen going to be up for a guys retreat? As soon as they are not busy?
Thank you for letting us tag along on your Lego and sea world trips! I miss you and those darling children so much! Love the pictures!
P.S. Could you email me the two pics with me and the kids? I would like to post them on FB but I can't seem to do it with my phone. Love you.
