Happy Independence Day!
Finally! A cute pic of them together! We had a pretty low key 4th of July, but it was fun. Derek and I traded naps in the morning, then we all went out for ice cream, then in the evening we went over to a friend's house for a bbq and fireworks.
The toys at someone else's house are always so cool. Jason loves this Buzz lightyear rocket ship that shoots up high when you turn the hose on.
Derek trying to make Brett into a race car driver. He zooms that baby around like he's trying to win the Daytona 500.
So, we bought what we thought were fireworks from Target, but I guess they are illegal here so it turns out we were trying to light confetti poppers on fire all night. We could not figure out what we were doing wrong.

We did end up having some (very mild) real fireworks, and the kids loved those little white pop-its that you throw on the ground. The food was yummy and it was fun to celebrate with friends.

Neat new posts. The recital is something you will always remember, though I am sure better ones will follow.
You are all terminally cute.
